The SHOPPERS LOVE. YOU. Run for Women raises $200,000 in support of women’s mental health!

On Saturday, June 10, 1,250 community members came together for the SHOPPERS LOVE. YOU. Run for Women to run and walk in support of the Women’s Mental Health Program at Women’s College Hospital, the largest clinical and research program of its kind in Canada.

Before the event got started, Shoppers Drug Mart announced that a grand total of $200,000 had been raised in support of women’s mental health – doubling what was raised at last year’s event!

The pre-race ceremony was hosted by MC Meredith Shaw of 104.5 CHUM FM. We were thrilled to welcome Premier Kathleen Wynne, Mayor John Tory, the Honourable Carolyn Bennett and Councilor Kristyn Wong-Tam. The crowd also heard from Ann Davis, board chair of WCH Foundation and Dr. Valerie Taylor, psychiatrist-in-chief of Women’s College Hospital.

WCH Foundation wishes to thank Shoppers Drug Mart and all participants and sponsors for their commitment to the success of the Run for Women and the Women’s Mental Health Program. Together, we are creating a brighter future for the health of women and for everyone!
