Dr. Sacha Bhatia appointed as WCH's Chief Medical Innovation Officer

Women’s College Hospital Foundation is proud to congratulate Dr. Sacha Bhatia on his promotion to the role of Chief Medical Innovation Officer (CMIO) at Women’s College Hospital.  

In this new role, Dr. Bhatia will be providing strategic and scientific leadership to the Women’s College Hospital Institute for Health System Solutions and Virtual Care (WIHV), which he co-founded in 2013. Under his leadership, WIHV is designing, implementing and evaluating innovative models of care to improve community health while simultaneously reducing cost and pressure in our healthcare system. As the hospital’s CMIO, he will collaborate with senior leaders in research and education to deliver on our hospital’s strategic plan, Healthcare Revolutionized, and advance health and health systems through bold academic leadership and excellence.

Dr. Bhatia holds the F. M. Hill Chair in Health System Solutions. His research focuses on digital health innovation, appropriateness of care and health service design to influence policy that will improve the delivery of care to patients. In addition, he has been the Division Head of Cardiology and a staff cardiologist at WCH.
