Ribbon cutting

The new Women’s College Hospital is officially open!

What a day! On Friday, June 10, Women’s College Hospital was thrilled and honoured to welcome Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Premier Kathleen Wynne, Mayor John Tory and numerous other dignitaries, special guests and staff for an official ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the formal opening of the Hospital of the Future.

This incredible event paid tribute to the over 22,000 donors who helped bring the new home of Women’s College Hospital to life. On behalf of the entire WCH community, we want to thank you for making this historic moment possible!

Welcoming the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario to honour the volunteers of WCH
Elizabeth Dowdeswell

In early May, the Honourable Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, joined a celebratory dinner hosted by the Association of Volunteers of Women’s College Hospital. The event was held to recognize the tremendous contributions of the Association’s members, with special tribute paid to Darleen Bogart and Caroline Grose — both of whom have been WCH volunteers for over 50 years!

Father’s Day: Honouring the dads in our community
Jessica Kostuck w/ father

Dads and daughters have special relationships. For Jessica Kostuck, having her dad walk her down the aisle at her upcoming wedding will be a special moment that Women’s College Hospital helped make possible. Grateful for the life-saving care her father received at WCH’s Mohs Centre last year, Jessica and her fiancÚ will be making a gift to the hospital in lieu of wedding favours.
