Women’s College Hospital Foundation (WCHF) conducts door-to-door campaigns around the Greater Toronto Area to increase awareness of the programs and vital mission of Women’s College Hospital and to gain new supporters.
WCHF has partnered with Globalfaces to conduct door-to-door fundraising in compliance with Imagine Canada guidelines. Our canvassers receive dedicated training to speak on our behalf and connect with members of the community.
How do I identify a WCHF canvasser?
All WCHF canvassers have an ID badge with our registration number listed. They will be wearing a pink vest with our logo on the front and back.
What can I expect when I sign up with a canvasser?
When signing up to make a donation with a door-to-door fundraiser, your contact and payment information will be captured securely on a tablet. To complete your donation, the canvasser will call 1-833-762-0840 to connect you with an agent who will confirm your donation details. Although it might seem like a lot, this two-step process ensures that your personal information is handled safely and securely.
Do canvassers accept cash donations?
No. For your security and for the safety of our canvassers, door-to-door representatives are not permitted to accept cash donations.
Is it safe to share my information with canvassers?
Yes. Personal information is securely collected on a handheld device that is equipped with encrypted software. Also, WCHF will never trade, sell or rent your name or contact information. Your personal information is used only for donor-related or tax receipting purposes for WCHF.
I made a donation. Will I get a tax receipt?
Yes! Any gift you make of $10 or more will be issued a charitable tax receipt. Monthly donors will get one consolidated tax receipt for all of their current year’s gifts in February of the following year, saving you time and WCHF resources.
