Leslie McCarley Appointed President and CEO of Women’s College Hospital Foundation
The Board of Directors of Women’s College Hospital Foundation is very pleased to announce that Leslie McCarley will be joining Women’s College Hospital Foundation as President and Chief Executive Officer effective September 28, 2023.
Leslie is a highly accomplished and engaging leader with a passion for philanthropy and a strong alignment with the mission of Women’s College Hospital. Throughout her career in health care and academia, Leslie has demonstrated her ability to connect with staff, volunteers and donors and skillfully balance the art and science of fundraising to accomplish impressive results.
Leslie is currently Vice President, Advancement for the Canadian Institute for Advanced Research (CIFAR), a global leader in fundamental research, where she has doubled philanthropic revenue. Her previous roles included Senior Director, Philanthropy and Campaigns at the Perimeter Institute, the world’s foremost theoretical physics lab, as well as Vice President, Development at the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and Director of Development for University of Toronto Faculty of Arts and Science.
Leslie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Albion College in Michigan, a Master of Public Administration from Western Michigan University, and a distinguished Certificate in Fundraising Management from the Indiana University Lily School of Philanthropy.
What truly sets Leslie apart is her innovative spirit and her proven ability to lead with empowerment and inclusivity. Leslie will be a great champion for our cause, alongside our dedicated Foundation Team, Women’s College Hospital, and our wonderful donor community.
Leslie’s appointment marks a pivotal moment for our Foundation. Leslie’s leadership of the Foundation and partnership with Women’s College Hospital will further strengthen our mission to advance innovative models of healthcare and ensure health equity for all.
