Women Leaders Q&A: Louise Imbleau

We connected with several prominent women leaders in Canada to hear their thoughts on women in the workplace, women’s health, and why they support Women for Women’s.

Meet Louise Imbleau, Director of Treasury and Payment Solutions at BMO Capital Markets

As Director, Treasury & Payment Solutions, Louise is responsible for sales and account management of a portfolio of BMO Capital Markets clients. This involves a consultative approach with clients for their cash management and corporate card programs.

What advice, support or habit has most helped you to thrive as a woman in the workplace?

Having worked in a variety of industries namely the agricultural, travel and financial industries, I learnt early on in my career that everyone is unique in their aspirations and priorities. These will also change throughout one’s life. It is important to understand what motivates someone in order to help them achieve their very best. One should always remember to be inclusive of everyone and display fairness at all levels.

Why are you raising your voice for women’s health at Women for Women’s?

Health care matters to all of us. Research, knowledge and a network are key to being able to advocate for yourself and your family members.

Why has BMO Capital Markets chosen to support Women’s College Hospital?

We are very fortunate at BMO to be able to obtain the support for a cause that we believe in. All of us are encouraged to do good in our community. There is immense collaboration amongst business units in the support of various causes. Every woman in society has someone who cares about their well-being and hence we would like them to get the care that they deserve.
