Sandra Sualim, President and CEO, Women’s College Hospital Foundation said, “What an absolutely incredible milestone! Every single day, our amazing team at Women’s is pushing the boundaries of medicine, treatment, science, and research in ways that inspire and transform. By supporting WCH, LCBO’s customers are playing a key role in tackling some of the most urgent health challenges facing our communities. What’s even more exciting is that when WCH makes a groundbreaking discovery or uncovers a game-changing best practice, we don’t keep it to ourselves – we share it far and wide with our colleagues across the provincial healthcare system and beyond. A huge, heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire LCBO team for being part of this incredible partnership. Your support makes all the difference!”
LCBO allocates its donations towards WCH’s Catalyst Fund, which addresses essential needs, which change month-to-month and year-to-year. The impact of the Catalyst Fund goes far beyond a specific program or even the local community. Donations go towards improving health for women, health equity and health system outcomes. It also goes towards developing ground-breaking innovations that address issues related to population health, patient experience and system costs.
“Through our Spirit of Sustainability platform, the LCBO is invested in the health and wellbeing of the communities where we live and work. Thanks to our dedicated employees and generous customers, we are proud to support the important work at Women’s College Hospital and celebrate raising over $11 million for equitable healthcare,” George Soleas, President & CEO, LCBO.
