In Conversation With… Rhonelle Bruder

Centring Survivors’ Voices to Combat Sex Trafficking

Sex trafficking is taking place in every corner of the country, yet little research has been done on when or why it happens — or how best to support survivors. Through her research at the University of Toronto’s Dalla Lana School of Public Health and Women’s College Research Institute, Ph.D. candidate Rhonelle Bruder is hoping to change that.

This event was generously supported by HART (Human Anti-Trafficking Response Team).

Check out our past conversation in partner with Pride Toronto, with Yuri Hernandez, Co-Chair, Board of Directors, Pride Toronto and Dr. Laura Stratton, Primary Care Physician, Women’s College Hospital Family Practice, for a meaningful conversation about the importance of self-care in the trans community, rooted in lived experience.

In Conversation With… Women’s Age Lab

Check out our past session with Dr. Paula Rochon – Founding Director of the Women’s Age Lab at Women’s College Hospital and RTO/ERO Chair in Geriatric Medicine at the University of Toronto – as she discusses the topic of women’s health and women aging.

In Conversation With… Women’s Virtual

Check out our past session with Dr. Sacha Bhatia and Laura Pus, as they discuss the next dimension of healthcare for Ontario and Canada – virtual care. It is not simply telemedicine, it is an integrated system of care and solutions that will increase access, reduce wait times and ultimately create better health outcomes for everyone.
