Sandra Sualim named President and CEO at Women’s College Hospital Foundation

Ron McEachern, Chair of the Board of Directors, Women’s College Hospital Foundation (WCHF) is delighted to announce the appointment of Sandra Sualim as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective December 2, 2024. This appointment follows a thorough Canada-wide search to fill the role currently held by Chaim Cutler, Interim President and CEO.

Sandra brings a wealth of experience to WCHF, having served as President and CEO of Humber River Health Foundation for the past four years. Previously, she held the role of Executive Director at BGC Foundation Canada and has significantly contributed to philanthropic initiatives at SickKids Foundation and Havergal College.

A passionate advocate for equitable healthcare access, Sandra is dedicated to ensuring that women and equity-deserving individuals receive the care they deserve. Her collaborative approach has established her as a respected partner among leaders and organizations committed to fostering growth and meaningful change.

Reflecting on her new role, Sandra expressed, “What an absolute honour it is to lead the WCHF team and to have the opportunity to amplify the incredible work happening at WCH. I look forward to collaborating closely with hospital leaders, the Board of Directors, and WCH’s dedicated community of supporters to empower women and those marginalized in the healthcare system.”

In her new position, Sandra will work closely with the Board of Directors and WCHF executive team to develop a comprehensive strategy that strengthens partnerships with hospitals, community organizations, families, corporations, and alumni. Her leadership will be crucial in expanding the Foundation’s capacity for future growth.

Sandra is a current member of the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy and is actively involved in speaking engagements and panel discussions, advocating for critical issues within the sector. She is a proud graduate of the University of Toronto.
